Chops tip for this week (9/22/2004):
Try these sextuplet licks with some "gamak" slides mixed in. It breaks up the usual "rhythmically lame" licks and adds some "interest" to the chop.

Chops tip for this week (9/4/2004):
These picking exercises are great for articulation and "spinning the web."
Try it with: (darada, darada, dara),(darada, dara, darada) and, (dara, darada, darada) where da=down stroke and ra=upstroke
The second lick is one of my favorite "pentatonic licks" that covers some distance on the fretboard.

  Last weeks lesson (8/22/2004):
Practice in front of a mirror. They put mirrors at the bottom of elevators so people can look at themselves and distract them from waiting for the elevator. If you practice in front of a mirror, you'll be distracted by looking at yourself and practice for a much longer period of time! Rock on!

Play this at 144bpm with strict alternate picking and rock out!
